Your triathlon plan: three progressions, one week.

Swimming, cycling and running don't just take turns. Each one has its own phases, its own measured benchmark and its own session catalog. Trainetic places them in the slots you actually have, and adds the bricks.

The format you're training for

From your first super sprint to long distance. The plan starts from your level in each discipline, not from an average.

Your key benchmarks: three, not one

A single overall level means nothing in triathlon. So Trainetic keeps a benchmark for each discipline, and that's where all the paces in your plan come from.

The sessions a running plan doesn't have

Each discipline has its own deterministic catalog, scaled to your time budget and your current benchmark.

The brick

Bike then run, no break, with a timed T2 transition. It's the signature triathlon session, and the only one that combines two sports.

Sweet spot on the bike

Long blocks at a sustained, steady effort: the session that raises your level without wearing you out, between warm-up and cool-down.

Swimming, in meters

Technique drills, sets measured in meters, rest at the wall, and a target pace per 100 m on every block.

One brick per week, not every other week

The engine schedules exactly one per week, in the build phase and the race-specific phase, never before. This setting comes from a review of the field's references: MyProCoach, Dave Scott, 220 Triathlon and TRI247 converge on this frequency, and none recommends every other week. On the Olympic plan below, that means 15 bricks for the 15 weeks concerned.

In winter, you ride indoors.

On a smart trainer, resistance follows the planned power of each block. On your gym's connected bike, cadence, speed and heart rate are shown live. And your runs move to the treadmill.

Questions about triathlon

Do I need to know how to swim already?
Trainetic doesn't teach you to swim. If you can't yet swim 200 m non-stop, a few sessions with a club will save you far more time than a plan. From there, the plan starts from your real level.
I have no swimming benchmark, is that a problem?
No. A 400 m time is enough, or simply your 100 m pace when you swim easy. With nothing at all, Trainetic starts from a value based on your stated level and refines it afterward.
What if I don't have a triathlon planned?
Just like for running, Trainetic sets a dated intermediate goal and helps you improve toward it, block after block, across all three disciplines.
Does the plan account for my weakest discipline?
Yes. You declare it when you create your plan, and the split of volume between swimming, cycling and running takes it into account.

What users say

Reviews posted on the App Store, all rated 5 out of 5. Trainetic is new: these are first impressions, not end-of-training reviews.

“I found the way the AI assistant works interesting. Being able to ask a question about a session or get an explanation right in the app is a well-thought-out feature, especially when you're not a training expert.”

Séverine · App Store

“Big plus for the Garmin integration. Being able to send a session straight to Garmin Connect is really handy. It saves you from having to recreate workouts manually on your watch.”

Sébastien L. · App Store

“Very good first impression of Trainetic. You enter your goal, your availability and some information about your level, then the app builds a suitable plan. It's much simpler than figuring out what to do each week on your own.”
