How it works

Three steps, and your day is logged.

You add your meal

By name, by barcode, or by reusing yesterday's meal in one tap.

Trainetic adds it up

Calories and macros for the meal and the day, set against your needs for the day, calculated from your profile.

You follow your week

Your history for the last seven days, your weight curve if you weigh yourself, and your logging streak.

When this module isn't right for you

If you are pregnant, under 18 years old, on medical treatment, or if your relationship with food is difficult, talk to your doctor first: in these situations, a weight goal is not something to set on your own. If you think you may have an eating disorder, talk to your doctor: they can point you to the specialist support service in your country.

Common questions about counting calories

Is the calorie counter really free?
Yes: search, barcode scanning, calories and macros, unlimited and with no ads. The photo of your plate is included 3 times a month; the written review of your day and your week is part of Premium.
Do I need to exercise?
No. If you train, your session of the day is added to your needs; otherwise, nothing changes.
Do I need to set a weight goal?
No. You can simply log what you eat; your needs for the day are calculated from your profile. You can add a goal whenever you like.
Where do the nutrition values come from?
From the ANSES Ciqual table for whole foods and from Open Food Facts for store-bought products. When an entry is incomplete, Trainetic fills it in automatically and lets you know.
How do I scan a barcode?
With your phone's camera, in the app, on iPhone and Android alike.
How many calories a day?
It depends on your age, height, weight, sex and activity. Trainetic calculates your needs for the day from your profile, including your session if you train.
What happens to my data?
